The administrators of KKU attend International Conference Virtual Forum on Covid-19

The administrators of Khon Kaen University led by Vice President for Research and Academic Services , Vice President for Education, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise together with Assistant to the President for Research and Academic Services, Assistant to President for Special Affairs, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and acting director of International Affairs Division attend the international conference on the topic of “2020 NCKU International Virtual Forum on Covid-19” to online discuss on the Covid-19 situation in regional level , educational instruction guidelines, the preventive measures, etc. Besides, there are over 10 regional Asia countries attending this conference such as Taiwan, Japan, Thailand and The United States, Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.

On April 21, 2020. The National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan cooperated with Presidents’ Forum of Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU  Presidents Forum) held the international conference on the topic of 2020 NCKU International Virtual Forum on Covid-19  to online discuss on the Covid-19 situation in regional level , educational instruction guidelines, the preventive measures, etc. This conference honored by Prof. Huyen-Jen Jenny Su, President of NCKU and Chairmanperson, SATU President’s Forum delivered a welcome speech. In addition, Khon Kaen University administrators attend this conference led by  Prof. Monchai Duangjinda, Vice President for Research and Academic Services, Assoc. Prof. Maitree Inprasitha, Vice President for Education, Prof. Thidarut Boonmars, Vice President for Innovation and Enterprise  together with Prof. Pewpan Maleewong, Assistant to the President for Research and Academic Services, Mrs.Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Assistant to President for Special Affairs, Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and  Ms. Netdao Chamroendararasmee, Acting Director of International Affairs Divisionใ

Besides, there are three main sessions for this virtual international conference:

  1. COVID-19 Building academic resilience in response to coronavirus Session Chair by Prof. Huey-Jen Jenny Su, President, NCKU and Chairperson, SATU Presidents’ Forum 2. Challenges for regional coordination and communication engagement Session Chair by Prof. Fong-Chin Su, Executive Vice President, NCKU 3. Perspectives on global research issues and the way forward Session Chair by Prof. Jang-Yang Chang, Executive Vice President, NCKU. Moreover, there are many leading university attend this conference such as University of Tsukuba (Japan), University of Medicine and Pharmacy at Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), Mahidol University (Thailand), University of Malaya (Malaysia) and University of Cincinnati (The United States)

The administrators of KKU attending the 2020 NCKU International Virtual Forum on Covid-19 conference could show the mutual academic and research collaboration between two countries which have been established since 2015, also the appropriate use of technology in the globalization era.
