The drawings are simple as can be seen by local or indigenous craftsmen.
“Actually there were 10 designs on 15 Nagas of the 15 families. We tried to keep to the identity, from the water, the ground, the weather and faith and beliefs of Isan people. The details include the bottom which is the water, and on this are the lifestyles of people and local cultures of Isan including Khon Kaen identities such as the city gate, houses and architectures, trees designed as in “sim Isan”. Over the houses and buildings are clouds, Phra That Panom the emblem of KKU and then the 15 Naga families. These reflect what Lan Chang people respect. I believe that those who see the beauty of the boat will also absorb the identity of the former Isan drawing too,” said the director.
