Faculty of Dentistry welcomes HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, The Princess Srisavangkavadhana

September 3, 2019 – Staff members and dentists of the Royal Patronage Mobile Dental Clinic led by Dr. Chaiwut Phrueknganpan, D.D.S., President of the Royal Patronage Mobile Dental Clinic welcomed HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, The Princess Srisavangkavadhana. The mobile clinic then joined the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation (PMMV) to perform the royal-patronage duty at Kaennakornwittayalai School in Khon Kaen free of charge.

HRH Princess Chulabhorn Walailak, The Princess Srisavangkavadhana is presently the Honorary President of the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation (PMMV). HRH the Princess performs her mission in this respect continuously with an intention to assist people in terms of health care, disease prevention, promotion, and rehabilitation of health and hygiene for Thai citizens so that we have better quality of living. Report on the results of the service with Khon Kaen PMMV was presented and the personnel of Faculty of Dentistry of Khon Kaen University were rewarded the PMMV keepsake as Khon Kaen PMMV as follows:

  1. Mr. Suparerk Teemuangsai
  2. Supapon Chatchaiwiwatana (DDS)
  3. Miss Chayakarn Monkham
  4. Mr. Thongmark Khooyranya
  5. Mr. Aroon Yamee

All of the entries listed above were given a royal badge with the encryption of royal monogram, PMMV.
In addition, a keepsake with a shape of Bodhi leaf that is imprinted with an image of King Rama 9 was given to each of the six officials from the Faculty of Dentistry.

The Royal Patronage Mobile Dental Clinic of  KKU’s Faculty of Dentistry has performed a monthly dental service to people in remote areas. In addition to providing typical dental service, the mobile dental service of the Faculty of Dentistry also provided general health services, and dental care training to the villagers. KKU’s Faculty of Dentistry has operated the mobile dental service under the royal patronage since 1991. The public dental service has been well collaborated by all related parties in the university, be it students, teachers and staff. The project has helped over 3000 people, who typically are residing in remote areas in the Northeastern region and in under privilege condition.

The Royal Patronage Mobile Dental Clinic of  KKU’s Faculty of Dentistry is proud to continue its mission to promote good dental health to the people in remote areas. The team is projecting for providing a wider range of health service to the people with higher frequency of the service. One of the greatest pride of the dentistry team to serve for this program is to commemorate and to be thankful for the attributions to Late King Bumibol who is great patronage of the Thai dentistry.
