KKU joins 97th Siharat Coffee Council to exchange information on 5G

KKU joins the 97th Siharat Coffee Council’s meeting to exchange information on 5G to transform the university into Smart University

On June 21, 2019, Khon Kaen University led by Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Acting Assistant to the President for Special Affairs, Mr. Bancha Phraphon, Deputy Director for Academic Services of Bureau of Academic Service, attended the 97th Siharat Coffee Council’s meeting of June 2019 together with KKU staff. Khon Kaen Institute for Skill Development 6 was the host of the meeting, and it was an honor to have Mr. Kraisit Srisamran, Director of Khon Kaen Institute for Skill Development 6 remarked welcome speech at the meeting room of Khon Kaen Institute for Skill Development 6.

Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit said, “The meeting today is still heartwarming like its first time. I have joined many activities with a lot of participants here. It’s Khon Kaen University’s pleasure to attend any event of these participants’ organizations. Today we would like inform you about Khon Kaen University and our Isan region. KKU President has visited Office of the NBTC to sign MOU for developing 5G test centers located all over Thailand. Yesterday KKU signed MOU with Chiang Mai University, Prince of Songkla University, and Chulalongkorn University for transforming university to Smart University. New technology for agriculture, medicine, or any field of knowledge will be developed. In the future we may see new technology which has been completely developed. The students that are studying at KKU at present have more opportunities that ones in the past, and in this year or the next year, it’s certain that we’ll have a chance to experience newly transformed technology used for teaching, learning, and developing our neighboring communities as well as our province.”

Mr. Bancha Phraphon said, “Mrs. Natsamol Tanakulrungsarit, Acting Assistant to the President for Special Affairs, is the key host of Coffee Council meeting on behalf of Khon Kaen University, and I’m the supporting host today. On May 24, 2019, I went to Bangkok to attend the meeting for OCSC examination. KKU Bureau of Academic Service has been assigned to organize the examination in Khon Kaen, so I’d like to inform that on June 30, 2019, there’ll be 30,989 people taking OCSC examination at 11 test centers – 5 centers at Khon Kaen University, Khonkaenwittayayon School, Kaennakhon Witthayalai School, Kanlayanawat School, Khamkeannakorn School, Watklang Municipal School, and Nakorn Khonkaen located in the area of Banped Municipality. Therefore, everyone please plan before travel, this is what I’ve planned to inform all members of Siharat Coffee Council.”

The 97th Siharat Coffee Council’s meeting is aimed for exchanging ideas and update information among members from different offices. The meeting is held once a month or when there is special occasion to create network of Siharat members who help each other for the strong community that can help people and tackle problems together in the future.
