On March 8-9, 2025, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy at Khon Kaen University hosted the highly anticipated “KKBS Startup Camp 2025: Global Mindset”, a transformative event designed to inspire and equip aspiring entrepreneurs. This dynamic program offered Khon Kaen University students a unique opportunity to dive into the world of startups, covering essential topics such as foundational business knowledge, innovative product design, project feasibility assessment, and the power of teamwork.
Supported by the Startup Entrepreneur Development Fund in collaboration with the Technology and Innovation Entrepreneurs Development Fund under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, the camp is part of Khon Kaen University’s mission as a TED Fellow network to cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs.
The event featured an impressive lineup of workshops and expert-led sessions, including:
- “Writing Professional Project Proposals for Funding” by Dr. Korsak Towantakavanit, Assistant Managing Director of New Business Group, Mitr Phol Sugar Corporation, Ltd.
- “Creating a Business Model Canvas” by Dr. Anon Khamwon, Director of KKU Enterprise Center, Khon Kaen University.
- “Writing KKBS Startup 2025 Project Proposals” by Dr. Wittika Thangchan, Head of the KKBS TED Fellow Project.
- “Global Mindset” lecture and brainstorming session by Mr. Thanakrit Sermsuksun (Casper), Founder of SEA Bridge.
This hands-on, knowledge-packed camp empowered students to turn their innovative ideas into actionable business plans, fostering a global perspective and entrepreneurial spirit. KKBS Startup Camp 2025 is more than just an event—it’s the first step toward building a brighter future for young entrepreneurs ready to make their mark on the world.
The camp concluded with group brainstorming activities and presentations of prototype ideas and startup business plans by the participants in the “KKBS Startup Pitch Deck 2025.” Six teams of Khon Kaen University students participated, and the winners of the startup business plan presentations, who received funding to further develop their startups, were as follows:
First Prize (7,000 THB per team):
- Team Nanowipe: Technology for oil-absorbing paper using Carbon Nanofiber.
- Members: Mr. Peerapat Kurum, Mr. Bunnamphet Lunput, and Mr. Supawit Thanitkul from the College of Graduate Study in Management, Khon Kaen University.
- Team 3D Bright Begin: 3D printing business using recycled plastic waste.
- Members: Mr. Jetaporn Katawee, Mr. Poom Cherdpanit (Faculty of Engineering, Khon Kaen University), Miss Nattapat Chantarasingharnkit, Miss Rawipa Puriwat (Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University), and Miss Supreeya Pattarachanon (Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy, Thammasat University).
Second Runner-Up (3,000 THB):
- Team Chaya (Essential Balm Stick):

Consolation Prizes (1,000 THB per team):
- Team Kean Lite: Sugar derived from Jerusalem artichoke.
