March 22, 2024 – Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, came to launch a project, Creating Added Values to Innovative Agricultural Products to Reach International Market and organize AGRI PLUS AWARD 2024 Seminar in Khon Kaen. The opening ceremony was honored to have Mr. Ronnarong Poonpipat, Director General of the Department of Foreign Trade giving the opening address. Among distinguished participants were Mr. Duang-athit Nithuthai, Deputy Director; Mr. Sarum Mongsungnoen, Khon Kaen Commercial Head Officer; staff from DFT, speakers, forum participants, entrepreneurs, students, lecturers, researchers, the public, and news correspondents. The event took place at the Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Administrative Building of the Northeast Science Park, Khon Kaen.
The project began with a forum on the topic: “The Future is Now: the Tactics in Deploying Thai Innovative Agricultural Products Internationally”. The forum was led by experts in agricultural business and innovations, including Mrs. Suwipa Wannasathop, Director for Innovations of Mitpon Center of Innovation and Research; Assoc. Prof. Darunee Jotishyangkoon, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University; Dr. Kantapat Tanakuljirapat, an expert in sustainable business management; Mr. Songpon Nerakanthee, a brand innovator and a strategic marketer; and Mr. Surasak Rachapeng, an executive of Thewanun Co. Ltd.
Nest was a special talk on “The Perfect Match: Principles in Developing Innovative Agricultural Products that Meet Consumers’ Demand” led by Asst. Prof. Yadrung Mawongwai, a lecturer of the Agricultural Economics Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Khon Kaen University. This topic was followed by another talk on “Sustainable Move: Techniques for Sustainably Managing Innovative Agricultural Products” by Dr. Kantapat Tanakuljirapat, and expert in sustainable business management; and “Me & Marketing 6.0: Ways for Innovative Agricultural Products to tackle Consumers and the World Market” by Mr. Songpon Nerakanthee, a brand innovator and a strategic marketer.
This event was a special occasion from which entrepreneurs, students, lecturers, researchers and the public to increase their knowledge in how to launch Thai innovative agricultural products to reach the world market. This is achieved through the AGRI PLUS AWARD 2024 Contest under the Project: Creating Added Values to Innovative Agricultural Products to Reach International Market
Entrepreneurs of innovative agricultural products, researchers, students and the public are invited to apply for the “Agri Plus Award 2024” to increase their chances in expanding the selling channels of their products both in Thailand and abroad.
And on this special occasion, the Department of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce invited entrepreneurs, researchers, students and the interested individuals to listen to the project details and the seminar on how to deploy Thai innovative agricultural products to reach the international market. This is free of charge.
