HU-SO, KKU holds the 6th iSchool Showcase, presenting Capstone Project and innovation from real practicum at famous workplaces all over the country

January 29, 2024 – The Information Science Undergraduate Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, under the iSchool KKU Project (BiS) organized the of the “6th iSchool Showcase: Limitless Peak Learning”. The event featured presentations of Capstone Project and innovation from real practicum of the students of the Information Science Program or iStudentKKU at 38 organizations of the digital industry sector. Assoc. Prof. Orathai Pia-ura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences congratulated the participants and gave the certificates of attendance of the iSchool KKU course, the program under the collaboration with the workplaces. Among attendants were a big number of lecturers, students and interested public. The event took place at the Northeast Science Park, Khon Kaen University.

Assoc. Prof. Orathai Pia-ura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences related, “This year, the iSchool Project received collaboration from 38 organizations where our students were sent to the Work Integrated Learning (WIL) program. More students were able to work during the practicum, which demonstrates the success of the iSchool Project. The project is aimed at preparing graduates who are well prepared in terms of knowledge and necessary skills and are able to adjust themselves in all situations.”

The 6th iSchool Showcase this year featured presentations of the work outcomes and progress of the learning process, showing that the students have the competency required by the Thailand Educational Reform Policy. The showcase was organized under the concept: “Limitless Peak Learning”. The morning session was on the digital industry sector: – Session 1: Expert Talk: Next-Gen Approaches to Becoming a Talented Person in a Competitive Market by Khun Kittipong Prapansiri, Manager, Talent Acquisition (People & Culture) from RS GROUP; and Session 2: Expert Talk on Continuous Learning and Skill Development by Khun Kasidit Satangmongkon, Page Admin/Data Analyst from DataRockie.

The next session was Experiential Learning: for limitless development from iStudent 46. The afternoon session was the iStudent 46 Exhibition: Limitless Showcases of the experiences from Work Integrated Learning of iStudent 46. The event was truly a big cluster of successful people in the digital age who came to share their experiences and knowledge that can be applied in the students’ future occupations, especially in the Digital Transformation era where graduates should be prepared in all aspects and be able to adjust themselves in all situations by being a competent person of the digital industry sector.
