The Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University, Secondary Section (Mo Din Daeng) submitted the secondary-level project at the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award: I-New Gen Award 2023. The project was on an automatic-controlled smart planting machine (SMD Farm Bot I), which was invented by Kunakorn Tungtrakoon, Pawarit Phaengma, and Jakkapong Seeya and supervised by Ajarn Jularat Seeya, Ajarn Arongkot Peeklom and Ajarn Sirichai Tungtrakoon. The Thailand New Gen Inventors Award: I-New Gen Award 2023 was held on February 2-6, 2023 at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center, Bangna, Bangkok, by the Office of National Research Council of Thailand, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.

The SMD Farm Bot I Project that won a golden medal at the Thailand New Gen Inventors Award: I-New Gen Award 2023 is a project that responds to one vision of the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University, Secondary Section (Mo Din Daeng), to prepare innovators with creative thinking for the digital era. Prof. Sumalee Chaijaroen, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education and Acting Director of the Demonstration School of Khon Kaen University and the administrators of the School have carried out the school operations to upgrade the learning quality of students until they are able to efficiently create new and successful performances.
Thailand New Gen Inventors Award: I-New Gen Award 2023 is a stage for new generation youths with potentiality to become researchers and innovators in the future to present and exhibit their creative capabilities. The outcome of the event will lead to expansion of research and innovation personnel with the potentialities to lead the country under future changes. This year, 446 projects were submitted, divided into 245 secondary school projects, 103 vocational school projects, and 98 university projects.
