April 11, 2022, 9:00 a.m. at Sarasin Room, 2nd Floor, Sirikunakorn Building – The 7th/2022 meeting of Khon Kaen University Administrative Committee was held onsite and online via Video Conferencing. Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University presided over the meeting, while Asst. Prof. Denpong Soodphakdee, Ph.D., Vice President for Digital acted as the secretary of the meeting. Members attending the meeting included vice presidents, deans, and directors of different divisions as well as relevant participants.
Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University related that in this meeting, the committee members took into consideration the issuance of two announcements on: 1) the principle in implementation and proposal of more-than-one degree programs, an issue not concluded in the last meeting, and 2) the announcement on tuition fees of these programs. Once the announcements are made, different faculties will be able to carry out their program opening. Now, there are 3 faculties already beginning their project. The next issue was the appointment of the Committee Members of the Digital Technology Institute. The University invited Prof. Chapiporn Kiatkachatarn, Chief Division of Sino-Thai Cooperation Office of International Cooperation and Exchange School of International Education from CHENGDU UNIVERSITY to explain about the collaboration between Khon Kaen University and CHENGDU UNIVERSITY. Prof. Chapiporn Kiatkachatarn is also acting as the chairperson of the Thai-Chinese Student Exchange Association. This association has 180 member universities in Sichuan where the population is 120 million. This is major commencement of KKU master’s and doctorate degree programs in the future.
