Assoc. Prof. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University welcomed the participants and opened the meeting. “Khon Kaen University welcomes the administrators and staff members of the Thailand Regional Business Schools Network: TRBS NET from the 3 regions. The collaboration among the 4 regions is very important. Fifty years ago, the Faculty of Medicine of Khon Kaen University, Chiangmai University, and Prince of Songkhla University joined to establish the regional medical school network. At that time, we were facing shortage of lecturers and budget. We therefore coordinated and shared information in different aspects with the Government. And that was the background of the formation of the medical school group and Medical Institutions of Thailand. Following this, the Thai University President Association emerged. It is a good example of clustering of schools that carry out the same duties and programs, and it leads to learning and sharing of knowledge. The meeting today is a good opportunity that enables the participants to exchange opinions and discuss the development of programs together.”
The President of Khon Kaen University also gave a talk on this occasion on “Higher Education Transformation in Digital Era” and discussed with the participants from the TRBS Net. In the afternoon, the supporting staff of the 4 institutes met for learning and sharing at VIP Room, Bayasita Hotel @KKU.
The Thailand Regional Business School Network (TRBS NET) was held on December 19-21, 2021 at Bayasita Hotel @KKU. The meeting is for exchanges of opinions on the management and programs in business administration and accountancy of the network universities in order to prepare for the future transformation.
