June 9-11, 2021 at NK 2314 and NK 2316, Lecture and Laboratory Building 1 – Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, Khon Kaen University Nongkhai Campus, with budget support for setting up the Innovation and Technology Park for instructional and research purposes and enhancing the digital technology competency of new-age entrepreneurs and SMEs in the Me Kong Sub-region; organized an online learning media production workshop. This workshop was Sub-Project 2 on “How to YouTuber: Making learning media for YouTube. At the event, Mr. Phuwadol Kornpan, Acting Head of the Research and Innovation Unit made a reporting speech, and Asst. Prof. Suntaree Boochitchon, Ph.D., Vice Dean of the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Sciences, conveyed the opening speech. The training guarded against the spreading pandemic by keeping all attendants wearing masks at all time.
Presently, information technology has rapidly advanced. Everyone has easy access to the Internet, and the number of users increases every day. People use the Internet to share their knowledge and present new ideas without boundaries. Khon Kaen University is another institution that used to introduce Google Apps for Education in instruction. From this point, the University sees a good chance to teach through Youtube, for it can reach the students quickly. Now, Khon Kaen University disseminates news and information, and knowledge to the public through the University’s Youtube channel or KKU Channel. There are nearly 1,000 video clips, with 1.3 million times of watchers. Therefore, in order to meet the objectives of the center founding, the Workshop 2 on “How to YouTuber: Making learning media for YouTube” was organized to promote and support the trainees to use online tools on the Internet in instruction and research. The trainees will also be able to create and publicize their works on Youtube. The workshop was attended by 40 lecturers, students, staff, and interested public.
